AIX CLI Installation & Quickstart

The AIX Agentic CLI (aix) is the unified enterprise terminal designed for SWE-bench verified autonomous engineering, repository-level multi-agent swarms, and human-in-the-loop task delivery.

1. Installation Methods

Select the installation command suited for your operating system and environment:

# Downloads binary, sets executable bits in ~/.local/bin, and links sweetnight enterprise profile curl -fsSL 'https://aix.snnc.cc/console/api/cli-bootstrap/install.sh?target=sn' | sh

Option 2: Windows PowerShell Enterprise Installer

& ([scriptblock]::Create((irm 'https://aix.snnc.cc/console/api/cli-bootstrap/install.ps1?target=sn')))

Option 3: Python UV Package Tool (Contributors & SREs)

# Direct isolated wheel install via uv uv tool install --force .

Verify binary availability:

$ aix --version aix-cli 1.0.0 (Python 3.12.3)

2. Environment Diagnostics (aix doctor)

Immediately following installation, execute aix doctor to probe network latency, model gateway connectivity, PAM lease credentials, and local sandbox boundaries:

$ aix doctor
╭── 🩺 AIX CLI Diagnostic Report (Profile: sn) ─────────────────────╮ │ • CLI Version : aix-cli 1.0.0 (Python 3.12.3) │ │ • Auth Status : Valid (User: xenodennis · Target: sn) │ │ • Gateway Link : Healthy (https://aix.snnc.cc · Latency: 38ms) │ │ • Coding Pool : sn-enterprise (Active Tier: Claude-3-5-Sonnet) │ │ • Zero-Trust : Governed Sandbox Active (LocalPermissionManager) │ │ • CircuitBreaker: Armed (Threshold: 3 failures / 2 identical calls)│ │ • Git Worktree : Clean (sn_operation_tower · Branch: main) │ ╰────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────╯

If any check displays [WARN] or [FAIL], consult the troubleshooting tips:

  • Gateway Link Unreachable: Verify VPN connection or corporate proxy settings (https_proxy=http://127.0.0.1:7890).
  • Auth Status Expired: Re-authenticate via aix auth login --target sn.
  • Zero-Trust Permission Error: Ensure your user belongs to the local developers group.

3. Profiles & Initial Configuration

AIX CLI supports multiple tenant profiles (sn for SweetNight Enterprise, gcp for Public SaaS, local for Offline air-gapped workstations):

# Check current active profile aix profile current # Output: sn # List available profiles aix profile list # Switch profiles seamlessly aix profile use sn # Check base URL and model settings aix config get base_url # Output: https://aix.snnc.cc

4. Your First Autonomous SWE Loop

Run a zero-risk dry run or execute an autonomous module creation loop:

# 1. Plan mode (Safe dry-run without writing to disk) aix --plan "Analyze current repository structure and propose a Redis cache layer" # 2. Autonomous mode with auto-approval (-y) aix -y "In src/utils/, implement a thread-safe token bucket rate limiter with pytest tests, and run tests until all pass"

The CLI will:

  1. Deconstruct the prompt into atomic engineering subtasks.
  2. Formulate code using the SWE Agent engine.
  3. Write files into the workspace.
  4. Execute pytest via the sandboxed shell runner.
  5. If failures occur, inspect the traceback, self-heal the implementation, and re-run tests until 100% green.
